The 2025/26 Premier League title race has taken a dramatic turn in recent months, with Arsenal and Manchester City locked in an intense battle for supremacy at the top of the table.

Arsenal currently hold the advantage in the race for the crown, although Manchester City remain firmly in pursuit after a commanding 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Wednesday reduced the gap between both sides to just two points.

With only two matches remaining this season, the destination of the Premier League trophy is expected to be decided on the final stretch of the campaign.

Away from the title battle, the fight for UEFA Champions League qualification has also intensified, with as many as six places potentially offering qualification opportunities. The relegation battle has equally produced late drama, particularly involving two London clubs battling for survival.

According to reports from Sports Illustrated, Opta’s supercomputer still predicts Arsenal will emerge champions and end their 22-year wait for a Premier League title.

Mikel Arteta’s side have reportedly been handed an 85.68 percent chance of finishing top of the table, with fixtures against Burnley and Crystal Palace left to play.

Arsenal are projected to finish the season with approximately 83 points, which would mark the lowest tally by a Premier League-winning side since Leicester City secured the title with 81 points during the 2015/16 season.

Manchester City, however, are predicted to fall short by three points despite recent victories over Brentford and Crystal Palace. Opta reportedly considers their earlier draw against Everton as the key result that damaged their title ambitions.
