Tension is reportedly growing inside the Real Madrid dressing room following a series of clashes between players in recent days.
According to Marca, midfielder Federico Valverde was taken to hospital after what has been described as a “very serious” confrontation with teammate Aurelien Tchouameni.
The incident reportedly prompted head coach Alvaro Arbeloa to call an emergency meeting in a bid to calm a dressing room said to be spiralling out of control.
Reports claim the altercation between Valverde and Tchouameni was “much worse” than previous disagreements within the squad.
The confrontation allegedly began during Wednesday’s training session after a heated exchange over a foul. During the incident, Valverde suffered a cut from an accidental blow and later sought treatment in the emergency room.
The latest episode comes shortly after defender Antonio Rudiger reportedly apologized for slapping teammate Alvaro Carreras during another training-ground altercation.
