WBA Africa lightweight title holder Agbaje joins Balmoral Group Promotions

Undefeated WBA Africa lightweight title holder, Taiwo “Esepo” Agbaje has joined premier Lagos-based event and sports management company, Balmoral Group Promotions ahead of their globally recognised ‘Chaos in the ring’ 5 event on July 31, 2026.
Esepo, who has a record of 19-0 put pen to paper on June 10 and was celebrated in Lagos alongside 21-year-old Basit “Joker Boy” Adebayo, the reigning National and WBO Youth International Lightweight/Super Light Champion and Appah Godday, winner, World Boxing Organisation Cruiser Weight, Africa.
Speaking at the event, CEO Ezekiel Adamu said: “Taiwo represents everything we’re trying to build here with Balmoral Promotions and Chaos in The Ring. He has talent, he’s disciplined, he’s authentic, and his deep connection with the people is actually what we’re doing. What we’re trying to do is simply build a platform that showcases him on a global level. We didn’t just pick on Taiwo to sign him now. He’s someone we’ve been watching for a while and he’s been part of our story for a long time now. The time is just right. The people chose him. He’s the people’s champion and he’s coming to the biggest platform in the whole of Africa. It’s beautiful.
“Taiwo Agbaje, I believe, is still the number one boxer in the whole of Nigeria. He’s ranked number 43 in the whole world. So basically, we need to celebrate our own and that’s why you guys are here. He recently just won the WBO Cruiserweight All-African Champion.
“So, we have an African Champion here in WBO Lightweight. We have an African Champion here in WBA Featherweight. And we have the guy who got the WBO Champion as well as for Cruiserweight Champion.”

Also at the event, founder of N Effect Mode Ltd, Osa Bazuu added: “….Today’s presentation is more than a celebration of achievement. It is a statement of the future of Nigerian athletes and their ability to compete and succeed on a global stage. These champions have demonstrated tremendous dedication and determination, and believe they are capable of achieving even greater success on the world stage.”
Balmoral Group Promotions is a premier, Lagos-based sportainment and boxing promotion company. Famous for the “Chaos in the Ring” franchise, they fuse elite professional boxing with celebrity/influencer bouts, streaming globally on platforms like DAZN. The last event held in May featuring a celebrity match between popular Nigerian streamer Carter Efe and Afro musician Portable was a huge success.
“Based on the success of the last event, the next event which is supposed to be October 1st will now be held on July 31st. The card will be released by Monday. And I think if we did 4.2 billion impressions the last time, we are targeting at least 6 billion impressions on this one,” Adamu revealed.
“It’s a bigger card, stronger. We’ve learned from the last one as well too. So just for us, like I told you, it’s momentum.
“So, we learned from that. We don’t want the momentum to die. So, we are immediately bringing up another event.”
