England international Marcus Rashford could be heading back to Manchester United for pre-season training amid growing uncertainty over his future.
The 28-year-old spent last season on loan at FC Barcelona after falling out of favour at Old Trafford under former manager Ruben Amorim.
Rashford impressed during his spell at Camp Nou, helping FC Barcelona win the La Liga title under Hansi Flick and earning a place in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
However, his long-term future remains unresolved.
According to The Times, Barcelona have until June 15 to activate a £26 million option to make the move permanent, but the Catalan giants are reportedly only willing to offer around £13 million for the forward.
Manchester United are unlikely to accept such a reduced fee, despite Rashford not being expected to feature prominently in the plans of new manager Michael Carrick.

Barcelona remain interested in keeping the England international but are facing financial constraints after reportedly spending £70 million on the signing of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.
The Spanish champions are also monitoring Marc Cucurella of Chelsea FC, although any move for the defender may depend on player sales.
Barcelona could decide to revisit negotiations after the June 15 deadline, but doing so would allow Manchester United to demand a higher transfer fee than the amount specified in the current clause.
Despite the uncertainty, Rashford remains an attractive option on the transfer market. The forward contributed 14 goals and 10 assists across all competitions last season, while reports suggest his representatives remain confident of attracting interest from other Premier League clubs.
Among the clubs monitoring his situation are reigning Premier League champions Arsenal FC, who are expected to strengthen their attacking options during the summer transfer window.
